MAMP WordPress

Hi all,
I´m having some trouble with mamp so that I can work with wordpress locally
1. When I try to save the local site in my root folder Site, I can´t find it. I tried pasting some code in my terminal, as I saw in other forums, but nothing works.
2. Also, maybe this is more map related, but when i try to create a new database in phpadmin, it says they haven´t found table in this database?
Could somebody help you?
