Managing Subdomains

I was wondering what the easiest way to manage subdomains would be. For example, I have a site that shows local events for different areas. I would like to have the same pages per location but would like the content and links to be based on the subdomain. So I could have charleston.thesite.com which would have several pages with charleston content all linking to charleston.thesite.com/otherpages.
Then I could also have atlanta.thesite.com which would have the same pages but with atlanta content linking to the pages in the atlanta subdomain.

I would also like to be able to switch out the logo based on subdomain. Any direction on this would be greatly appreciated.
