Thank you for you quick reply. I wondered why I did not get any notification when I replied to a thread I started (added this poss. trough the option panel)

This is by purpose. When you reply to a topic you have subscribed to, you dont need to get a notification about it for your own reply because you know the content and that it is from you anyway.
