Manually add Tracking Number

    With the active integration it would be nice to also manually add a tracking number instead of just having the option to create a label.

    Background: We sometimes use Worldship for more complex shipments such as multi-parcel shipments with different weights and customs documentation. The Shiptastic API is currently not able to provide this.

    We could create a new UPS (Manually) method in the settings but then from what I’ve seen, the automatic status updates of the tracking status do not work.

    It would be great to have this option included in the plugin.

    Hi there,

    Shiptastic supports adding multiple shipments to one order (including different weights + customs) – is there something missing from the API that you need?

    Anyway I think it might be a good idea to allow adding tracking info manually too so I’ll add that to the roadmap.

    Hey Dennis,

    thanks for adding it to the roadmap. Yes I am aware about the funtion to add multiple shipments but I am talking about “Mehrpaketesendung” where there is one Shipment ID (Box 1/3, 2/3, 3/3). With our UPS contract we get discounts when creating these kinds of shipments instead of creating single lables.

    Hi Matthias,

    manually adding shipment tracking numbers to shipping carrier integrations is now available within the latest version of Shiptastic. Thanks for the update on Mehrpaketesendung – we were actually looking into this when implementing the UPS API but as labels are created on a per-shipment basis (and not for multiple shipments at once) there is no easy way to achieve that.
