Manually Triggering Widget Upgrades
-
Version 1.3 of Google Places Review both Free and Pro required updates to your live widgets. We build an update process to handle that automatically for you. For 99% of users that has worked perfectly. There’s been a couple who have not seen the alert at the top of their admin area to trigger that update. If that’s you, here’s how to fix that:
FOR MULTI-SITE INSTALLS
The alert does not show up if you are in your “Network Admin” area. But the alert should show up in each individual install of your network, including your root install. But if it doesn’t, simply go to this url in each install and the widgets will be updated automatically.
http://yourmultisite.com/wp-admin/options.php?page=gpr-upgradesOf course, depending on how you are routing your individual installs the domain will be different. Here’s an example using subdomains:
http://subsite1.yourmultisite.com/wp-admin/options.php?page=gpr-upgradesFOR NORMAL SINGLE INSTALLS
If you don’t see the alert at the top of your admin screen, simply go to this url:
http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/options.php?page=gpr-upgradesYou’ll see the upgrade process happen live and should then see a confirmation notice this: https://wordimpress.com/github/google-places/google-places-upgrade-notice-confirmation.png
