Many posts, same image, different filename

    Hi,

    I have a blog on which multiple users make new posts every day. The problem is that many of them upload a new featured image as even though that image already exists in media gallery.

    If i manually (via DB) point multiple posts to use the same featured image, will there be any problem?

    As far as I am aware this shouldn’t be an issue, try manually pointing one post to use the same featured image as another to double check if it does work, if it doesn’t, revert the change, if it does then there’s your answer
