What redirect did you create for it?

I’m not sure what you mean.
The plugin was supposed to create a 301 redirect. Can you tell me more what you’re asking?

What redirect did you create in the plugin? You say that some are not working – what is the redirect settings for one that doesn’t work?

Thanks for your help with this.
There are many that don’t work — 15 or 20 to be more precise. The settings are as follows:
query parameters: “exact match all parameters in any order”
    Match: “URL only”
When matched “Redirect to URL” with HTTP code “301 moved permanently”

Is that what you’re looking for?

Kind of. It would help to see exactly what you’ve put, with a screenshot. People often make mistakes that prevent redirects working.

    OK here is a screenshot:

(btw all the redirects listed under the expanded one don’t work either)

Hi there, is there any hope of resolving this? If not I will have to get a different app to do the job, which I’d rather not as yours is pretty intuitive.

Are you using a cache of any kind? Are requests for /blog/ going to the same WordPress install?

Dude I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m the kind of user that WordPress was meant for — not HTML and CSS savvy. I’m not a coder. Can you tell me how I can determine the answer to your questions? I’m happy to do that but need more decipherable instruction.
    Thanks!

A redirect will work unless there is something different on your site preventing it.

This could be because your site is cached in some way, and the cache needs clearing. I can see a ‘delete cache’ at the top of your screenshot.

I also note in your screenshot that your redirects are for /blog/, but your WordPress is installed at /. I wondered if maybe you have two WordPress installations, or some other different kind of setup.

    Thread Starter colossus54

    (@colossus54)

It’s entirely possible, I’m at least as confused as you are.

I deleted my cache at the top of the page but to no effect.
It does seem that you’re on to something with the /blog/ thing — all my redirects that work are from URLs starting with / but all the ones that don’t start with /blog. I’m not sure what that means or what to do about it. I did not knowingly create some unusual setup, as I’m not savvy enough to do that. Any suggestions?

    Hi John,
Would love any suggestions you might have, or any resources you can direct me to about this.
    Thanks!

Where do you log in to your site? You seem to have these logins:

    https://anxiety-ocd.info/wp-admin/
    https://anxiety-ocd.info/blog/wp-admin/

This would indeed suggest you have multiple WordPress installations. Redirects for /blog/ will need to be done on the WordPress for /blog/.

You’re right!! I don’t know how that happened, probably something dumb I did 10 years ago. I was able to log in to the other installation, install your plugin, and everything works! You’re a genius. Thanks so much! Will give your plugin 5 stars.
