SO I added 10 markers and would like to display them all when the map loads, there is no default coords to load on center, no auto-pan around markers nor anything similar, at the moment I worked around it by adding height to my map (it’s enormous and terrible) so they all fit, but there is a huge gap on top with no markers.

How can I have it render around the markers?

  • Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch and thank you for your feedback.

You can control the initial start point and zoom level in the map edit page by panning and zooming the map there, then clicking “Save Map”. The map will initialise with the same zoom and center you left it on in the editor.

The ideal height, zoom and positioning will vary from screen to screen, obviously portrait screens will require that you zoom out further if you have a lot of spread across longitude, and vice versa for landscape displays with latitude. You will have to experiment with this.

If it would help you, we can provide code to fit the map to the visible markers upon initialisation, so that the markers are fitted regardless of the viewport dimensions?

Would that help, and if so, could you link us to your map page?

    Kind regards
    – Perry
