    Hi there,

I’ve used the plugin before and it worked. After testing other plugins I decided to use this one for my maps. However it’s not showing and it’s quite frustrating. I’ve checked my API key. I’ve cleared cache, cleaned up database, did a clean install of the plugin, all other map plugins are deactivated as well.

EDIT: I have discovered it’s due to the plugin Autoptimize, however this plugin is really usefull, so I’m wondering what exactly causes this.

    Any tips would be welcome,

    Thanks,

    Jonas

For anyone having the same issue, here is the solution.

The reason the map was not showing was because of the plugin Autoptimize. Because of this plugin jquery couldn’t be found which is needed to load the map properly.

Therefore in the plugin Autoptimize go to: Exclude scripts from Autoptimize
    and add this: /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js

    It should work after that.

    Hi, @jonas541!

Thank you for reporting this problem and sharing the solution! We are happy to know you could figure it out.

Perhaps Autoptimize authors could include this in the plugin updates. @futtta, @optimizingmatters, do you think this would be possible? 🙂

    Cheers!

well, js/jquery/jquery.js is excluded from JS optimization by default these days 🙂

Thanks for getting back to us, @optimizingmatters!

This means, that the latest version of Autoptimize should not optimize js/jquery/jquery.js file, is that correct?

If so, then @jonas541 must be using an older version.
    Cheers!

that or he has been using AO for quite some time already, in which case his historical settings (which optimize jquery.js) overrule the default settings (which indeed don’t optimize jquery). or he simply changed the default settings himself 🙂

    Hi,

    Thanks all for your responsiveness.

I’ve probably overruled the default setting earlier because I have been trying a lot of things initially. It’s all good now, glad it’s resolved.

    Cheers
