I am using the Optima Express IDX plugin on a client’s site and am having an issue with putting the shortcode for the map search into a widget area. I have the shortcode in correctly and it is displaying so long as I have the layout in the IDX control panel set to Fixed but as soon as I switch to responsive the map is blank. The Location box, Refine Search link, and the Start Over button still appear correctly but nothing is shown on the map.

The shortcode I am using is just the standard
    [optima_express_map_search][/optima_express_map_search]
This should work to show a map in a sidebar widget area.

When I inspect element it does however tell me that on main.js:55 it is calling an undefined function. This is found in maps.gstatic.com. Is this something that I have broken or is it really just not working as intended?

    Hello,

By default, WordPress does render shortcode that is entered into a widget area. There are some plugins that will render the shortcode but generally our shortcode is intended to be added inside of the page / post editor.

Also, the sample shortcode you provided is not exactly how ours should look.

Please review this guide for further information on how to insert shortcode into a page / post.

These guides will provide more info on the available widgets.
