map type control

    By default it should show up automatically, although it may display different formats/sizes depending on the browser/device (just like regular Google Maps).

    There are options in the Settings page where you can choose between different types.

    If it’s not working, read the FAQ for troubleshooting/reporting steps, and make sure you include the URL to the map on your site.

    doh! i missed where its set to off by default under settings. ive set it to auto and it now shows up fine.

    dumbness on my part, im afraid. apologies. 🙂
