Mapping a new gTld | ww.wp.xz.cn

I have a website hosted with a popular WordPress only hosting company. They have helped me install Multi site and everything has been checked. I am unable to Map a domainname.Email . They tell me the plugin is not allowing this new gtld ( .email ) to be mapped. Any help or ideas?

The plugin does not restrict domain names other than the name has to follow domain naming conventions.

For example, domain names cannot have 2 dots together (example..com).
