The maps stopped working because we didnt have the API key installed.
Ive now added that, using the same key for the second ‘google api’ field since I couldnt find where to create that.
Then the error message disappeared on the page, now it says loading map, forever.
I followed the plugins trouble shooting guide up to the point to check for javascript errors in the console. It says the following errors but I have no idea whjat they mean or how to fix them (way above my pay grade)
    Any helpful suggestions appreciated.
PS I hit update all to the wordpress and plugings.

Okay weird – I removed [bgmp-map] at the top of the page and its all working now. I have no idea why that is not needed, when it says to put it in , in the tutorial.

    Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I suspect you may have confused our plugin with another as we (WPGMaps) authors of WP Google Maps don’t recommend adding the aforementioned shortcode at the top of the page.

So glad to hear everything is now working as expected on your side though.

Just shout if there’s anything else we can assist you with regarding our plugin 🙂
