Maps Unavailable

I’ve read and followed the documentation: (https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/?utm_source=plugin&utm_medium=settings&utm_campaign=gmaps-api-key)
I’ve also searched the forum and read and tried the solutions suggested.
Still getting a “Map Unavailable” error on each event.
It appears the API is not Geocoding the address as I can’t even get it to produce a Longitude or Latitude and a map won’t show up even in the Locations section of the WP admin.I’m prepared to purchase the PRO version but want to be confident this is going to work before I do.
