Marketpress Import not loading items

    I have Marketpress Lite, I have used the CSV importer many times without any problems. This weekend I have been trying to add 16 items, and I cannot get them to add.
    I select the file, hit import, it says there are 16 items that will be imported, hit import now, it says 16 items were imported, click review, nothing.
    Everything seems to be working just fine, but the items aren’t appearing anywhere on the site. Not drafts, all, published, or trash. I have tried several times, with several different options, and nothing is showing up.

    Hey there adrian.elliot13,

    Hope you’re well today!

    Since everything worked for you before I’m suspecting that one of the other plugins is most likely conflicting with the importer. Can you please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

    So I switched to WP 2015 for the theme and deactivated all the plugins except Marketpress Lite. Same problem.

    I very early this morning I got it fixed. As it turns out Libre Office Calc translates – into a long – if you put a space after it, and the importer can’t deal with that non-standard hyphen.
