I’m very concerned that Woocommerce does not at least mask keys in the back end. Despite my best efforts (I pay decent money for protection through my host; I also have several layers of protection installed, and use best practices for logins, etc.), someone hacked my site. And in the other payment plugins I have on my site, it’s not possible to read the keys for the payment gateways, but on Woocommerce, nothing is even masked. Let’s at least make them work a little! If nothing else, for Braintree, add all the different keys, and mask or encrypt them. This should be basic functionality of every payment gateway, those in the core and for add-ons.

    Hi there,

The newest version of WooCommerce PayPal Powered by Braintree Gateway allows for a one button connect process that does not require any keys. Hopefully this will alleviate your concerns.

Since there are no recent responses to this thread so I’ll mark this as resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if you have any further questions.
