Masonry page tutorial

    Hello,
    I’d like to built a masonry page with text overlays such as this one https://satoristudio.net/bento/masonry-page-full-page/

    I’ve even bought the Bento expansion pack but still no success. My problem is to understand how to do this. I need a page with masonry widget with overlays for each picture. But it seems that the Simple masonry widget is not the right answer to this problem. I could not find any step by step tutorial or any information that could make sense to me on how to build it. It seems however that each component in this masonry have to be either post or project type in order to work as I need. However I tried this and still no overlays both for new posts or projects. I simply cannot find out what has to be done in order to display the overlays at all. It would be much easier to understand the principles of this scheme if that demo masonry template would be available for us to edit further. But I cannot find it anywhere. Maybe I’m missing something.. Please help.

    Hello Michal, thanks for choosing Bento! Have you tried creating a native grid page as described in this part of the Bento manual?

    Yes I have a page with Grid template. It contains a Siteorigin Simple Masonry widget which obviously is not doing any overlays. That is something I cannot figure out.

    As mentioned in the manual, Grid pages will display posts automatically, so you don’t need to use any page builder widgets on that page (in fact, you can even leave the content section blank if you wish). Just configure the grid settings in the respective settings box in the lower part of the page edit view and you’re good to go! Be sure to have one or more actual posts so that the grid has something to display, as well.

    OK so how to make a single post with overlay text and change post background color on mouse hover ? I cannot find a way how to do that..
