Masonry widget config

Hi, I’m using this masonry widget in my sidebar and it shows up great, but all of the images are the exact same size. How can I make them different sizes and shapes like in the demo?

Also is there a short code or a specific way of adding the masonry widget to a template file? I would like to use it as a for category archive template so it shows the latest posts from the specific category in the masonry grid.
