mass delete: take 2

    I suggest you create a new set of tables, like we suggested on the other post.

    Start completely fresh.

    oh, for just the one site? I thought the other responses were indicating that I should start with a new DB completely. Hmmmmm…

    Just start fresh, either way. New database or new tables, doesn’t matter either way, it’s the same thing. Just create a completely new blog.

    Just select the tables of this one WP install and “drop” them. After that make a new install.

    If you just empty the posts table for the specific blog (through an admin tool like phpMyAdmin), you will *start over* in regards to posts. No reinstall for that.

    …

    Just thinking about what tables one would want to empty to start freash without needing to start from scratch on options settings, etc. It would be:

    *_posts
    *_postmeta
    *_post2cat
    *_comments

    Then you may want to hit *_categories, and *_links and *_linkcategories if the blogroll needs a new beginning. I guess dropping all the tables for the blog and reinstalling may be easier for most.

    Thanks for your advice. I’ve decided to try Kaf’s suggestion. I’ll be attempting it on Sept. 6th. *crosses fingers*
