Typo correction: I can’t get this plugin to work except with shorter passwords.
Nevermind, it wasn’t a password length issue; rather, I had to run the Setup Wizard and change the password that way. Adding the password through the form field in the plugin interface did not work.
Hi @cpattonunc,
could you please let us know what kind of characters did you use in the password (without providing the actual password itself), so we can test this out? It sounds weird that the password would work via the setup wizard and not through the plugin settings page.
For example on this page, there are character groups that you can select to generate a password: https://passwordsgenerator.net/
Which of those groups were contained in your password, so we can test it out and see what is going on. And as you figured out, there is no password length limit.
Did the password contain any other special characters that are not mentioned in the above page?
Thank you!
Hi, Greg. Thanks for following up. Our password uses the character set a-zA-Z0-9%^*$#@ and was generated by the LastPass secure password generator will all 4 categories of boxes checked. I tried both a 12-character and 64-character password in the password field, but neither worked. Both worked when I went through the wizard.
Please let me know if I can provide further information.
