    Is it returning only ellipsis on any breadcrumb it is trying to trim? If so, do you have the multibyte string functions available to your PHP install? If not, that is probably your issue (the fallback, which I can’t test as I use modern PHP setups with full UTF8 and multibyte character support, may not be working).
