MaxButtons plugin won’t activate

    New to web design. Inherited responsibility for our church’s website. Found the MaxButtons plugin and would love to be able to use it. When I attempt to activate the plugin, I get the following:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/65/7679565/html/wp-content/plugins/maxbuttons/maxbuttons.php on line 14

    Please help. Not sure what steps to take. Any guidance appreciated.

    Hi,

    You are probably runnning a super old version of PHP ( 5.2 ). This version is not being supported ( end of life ) already for almost 7 years and you shouldn’t be using it.

    If you don’t know how to upgrade your hosting to a more recent version, I’d recommend to contact your hosting company.
