Media and User Submitted Posts (Uploads)

    I am trying to utilize the USP and uploads via Jeff Starrs plugin. Sometimes it works and for some users it doesn’t.

    USP, post gets submitted but when viewing image in the media library, the image is shown as a Grey Paper Icon and not the actual image. Any ideas why this happens?

    If I approve the post, the image doesn’t show up.

    What is weird however, if I login to the site via FTP and download the image from the uploads folder the image is perfectly fine on my desktop. Ideas?

    As explained in the readme.txt, there are many variables involved with file uploads. Chances are high that there is some interference with one of these variables, such as some other plugin or script, the theme, your server setup, WP settings, folder permissions, file size, PHP memory, and the list goes on.

    That said, I recommend troubleshooting as many variables as possible. And/or, if your site has many plugins involved, maybe set up a test default WP install and try again. That will let you know if the issue is related to something with WP (plugin or theme) or something on the server. May save some time troubleshooting.
