• I’ve got a two problems with my media library:

    1. When I’m using flash uploader I cannot see Image previews and dropdown menus and numbers (attach ID’s) instead. Screenshot: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8820/uploaderbug.png

However everything works good, I can see my uploads when I’m going media library, thumbnails are generated etc…

    2. I cannot see image preview in new wp 2.9 image editor. Screenshot: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/2171/imgedbug.png. However I can successfully scale image using text fields to the right and it works.

Btw, I have another clean wp 2.9 installation on the same machine but different domain name and it works pretty good without any bugs.

I hope someone got same problem and know how to solve cuz I tried to remove and upload all wordpress files via ftp again and problem is the same, so I think the problem inside database…

  • What settings have you got on Admin > Settings > Miscellaneous? Are they different between the two installations?

Does everything work properly if you use the Browser Uploader instead?

On my blog it’s empty, on a clean installation absolute path specified. I’ve changed buggy WP uploads folder option to ‘/var/www/html/apple.web.upsmith.com/www/wp-content/uploads’ now, the path is correct, I took it from console using pwd command.

And still nothing happens after ‘crunching…’ when using flash uploader, still uploaded file ID (attachment ID) inside a box.

You won’t need all of that path, just the last part:
    wp-content/uploads

ok, I’ve put just wp-content/uploads, still the same.

Hmmm. Might be worth having a read through the sticky post if you’ve not already done so:

Problem solved, this time I totally reconfigured wp-config (old config was removed) and updated wordpress files using wget/unzip of latest release. It looks like ftp or hardware problem. I dunno. Anyway, thank you!
