sure, I’ve got a table with No (TinyINT) primary | day_num (TinyINT) | Txt_string (Medium Txt). I have to upload 3 weeks of data. I’ve got the information in Excel, I export it in CSV (comma). I did an export of the table before hand, just to make sure that my export respect the format. All was OK.
When I use the plugin I select the Table
Then I click upload to select the file. It says on top, of the dialog box : Add media files from your computer.
If I don’t take notice of it, I upload the folder and it is added to my Media instead of uploading it in the database.
So I tried a different table in the WordPress database structure and I still have the message : Add media files from your computer.
I don’t seem to have access to add to the MySQL database. However, It does show the structure with the headers in the Preview of the plugin.
This plugin would be very practical, since I have to upload data for a month, since the text on my website changes daily.

What do you mean by upload the folder? At this point you are suppose to select a csv file from your computer to import to your database table.

sorry, I meant file. The csv file that I exported from Excel.
yes and I followed the steps.
However I did notice this sentence
“From here, the file can be uploaded from a computer or selected from the media library.”
It mentions Media library. Does this mean that it is only media data that can be added ?
MySQL database table is text, not media.
But
Step 5 (Update Database Rows):
By default, the plugin will add each .csv row as a new entry in the database.
Is what I’m looking to do.
When you insert the csv file does it show up in the Select Input File: field? If it doesn’t then there is something preventing this from happening in your site.

Hi, yes it does appear, but it considers it as an image when it’s process and uploads it to the Media section
I wish I could send you captures, because the only option I have is Media. Even in the upload option, the Tab “From URL”, you have two radio buttons, one is Image and the other one is Audio, Video, or Other File.
Try a plugin/theme conflict test. This will determine if there is a conflict or not.

So, I really didn’t want to remove the theme and plugin to test out this plugin. Since, I have another website with a vanilla wordpress, with no plugin installed, I then installed the WP CSV TO DB.
Next I exported the wp_users table. Which gave me a csv. I then upload it the csv. It was imported in the Media section of the WordPress. Exactly the same thing that happens on my site.
Every import goes into the Media of the wordpress.
Did you click on Insert into Post button after you clicked on Upload button and selected the file from your computer?
