    The instructions are as default, but wrong, below:

    Directory in which to store uploaded documents. The default is in your wp_content/uploads folder (or another default uploads folder defined elsewhere), but it may be moved to a folder outside of the htdocs or public_html folder for added security.

    The default upload dir in wp 3.5 is Not Underscore, instead wp-content/uploads
