media (slideshow) disappears

I am using your slideshow (Version: 2.2.23​/wordpress slideshow plug-in)​
for friend’s site/had to hack in a wordpress page called “current”)

–page loads fine with slideshows present (see first and third entries)​, ​works fine, as i intended, except when the individual post with the slideshow is linked ‘singly’ the slideshow disappears/defaults to “style:display: none” —
i am really stuck, any help would be MOST appreciated​
