Yes, I just tried that. Cleared the cache. Deactivated plugins. Still no luck. Any other ideas?
Just looked at my library and found the image that I have tried repeatedly to insert into my post in the last 18 hours. There are 12 of the same image now in my library. So, even though I got the error message, it is in my library. However, if I “add media”, no images show up, even though there are 134 images in my library! So, why aren’t my images showing up in my library from the Media Uploader in my post?!
I still can’t figure this out and am not good at computer tech problems or code. Can anyone help? I’m a photographer that can’t blog photos and starting to freak out!

What is prophoto? Is that a plugin?
It’s a theme (?) for photographers using wordpress. http://www.prophotoblogs.com/

Not to worry with your issues, you bought support when purchasing the theme.
Here, contact your theme’s vendors.
Upon further investigation, I have prophoto installed, but am not currently using it. Appears the girl I hired to do my web design didn’t use it like I asked her too (argh). Anyway, I’m using Minimatica. Can you still help @andrew Nevins ?
If you look at the list of known issues, Minimatica lists those very problems:
Minimatica Theme

Confirmed conflicts with new media uploader. Unable to view media library or set featured image.
fix
Replace functions.php with this version that comments out erroneous ext2type filter and improper registering and enqueueing of javascript.

Great! Where do I go from the Dashboard to do that? I’m not good with code.
According to that post, you need to replace the functions.php file with the code that is in the pastebin linked to. Probably the best way to do that is using FTP.
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/FTP_Clients
You’ll need to use a text editor to create a new functions.php file — copy and paste the code from the pastebin — ensuring that you have no empty spaces at the top of the file, then upload it via FTP and replace the old version with the new one.
Just to be safe, always back-up your files before doing any work like this.
