Mega Menu
-
Hi, I used the code and info for the mega menu but can’t get the site to do it anything at all. Is there new code from 2017-2018?
Or, is there CSS for each item that would allow me to change the width of the menu section and or sub sections?

Hi there,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question?
Let me know đ
Yes it is baseballequipment.com however I took the code off, and I also just apparently crashed the site somehow. May not come up for you at the moment.
Tough for us to determine the issue without seeing it live unfortunately.
CSS cannot crash the site though.
Any chance you can add it back in so we can see?
And what version of GeneratePress theme are you using?
I can’t tell as you have caching plugin turned on.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. We were moving sites to a new host and didn’t want to conflict with more edits. I didn’t mean CSS or the script crashed the site. We installed a different plugin that seemed to do it.
Nonetheless, can you send me the mega menu code again here so I can install and try it? Also, I opened a different thread but since we are chatting here could you also help with this:
https://www.baseballequipment.com/product/wilson-a1010s-baseballs-in-bucket/
On this page there seem to be duplicates of the description. One near the pricing, and then the original near the tabs. I don’t have this issue on the other sites using GeneratePress so assuming that maybe my previous plugin pulled that content there and I need to do something to remove it.
Thanks!
Actually, I never removed the mega menu CSS code. Nonetheless it still doesn’t seem to work unless I missed something. I have added the item underneath “baseball bags” as seen here.

I’m not seeing the class there:
https://www.screencast.com/t/IwfXlNZWPerhaps a caching issue?
Is the CSS still added?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/building-simple-mega-menu/Just cleared the cache and checked…did not fix the issues.
Yes, checked code and it is added here:

I can see the correct class now the caching is cleared:
https://www.screencast.com/t/n2FjtgarVGAs for why the code isn’t working, it’s because you missed a closing
}for the@media (max-width: 768px) {:
https://www.screencast.com/t/0BDraWViRAh, good catch. Ok, to the other issue of products having two descriptions? Any advice there. We run runningshoes.guru with same theme and don’t have that issue.
So we are all good with the mega menu issue?
If so can you open a new topic for the description issue and link me to the page in question?
Yes, we are solid on the menu, but one more question there. Is there a way to fix it for example here, where some have sub menu items, while others don’t and the way it looks?

Thanks!
I’m actually not seeing mega menu for the Baseball Bags menu item.
Can you confirm?
The Baseball Shoes item looks good though.
Sorry, I took it down.
This was the screenshot of what it looked like when open.

I put it back in so you can see it live.
Cleared my browser cache multiple times but still not seeing it.
What would the expected behaviour be though?
Our mega menu CSS is meant to create a very simple mega menu.
If you need something more complicated then it might be worth looking into a plugin solution.
