Mega Menu Causing 503 Service Unavailable Errors
-
I’m having an issue with the Mega Menu. I’ve been using it for years along with the Pro version, but I believe the problem is general and not specifically caused by the Pro version – or it may just be triggered by it.
WordPress Version: 6.8.1
PHP: 8.2.6
max_execution_time: 120
memory_limit: 512MDatabase:
- Server Version: 5.7.25
- Extension: mysqli
Server:
- Software: Apache
My problem is that as soon as I activate the Mega Menu, the website becomes very slow and frequently returns a 503 Service Unavailable error. After that, I can’t do anything – the site doesn’t reload. I then rename the
index.phpfile via FTP to regain access to the backend. Once I deactivate the plugin, everything works normally again. But when I reactivate the plugin, I get the 503 error again and a very long page load time.Does anyone have any tips on what I can do? I actually really like the plugin and would prefer not to stop using it.
Currently, the plugin is deactivated so that the website remains accessible at all.
