Member Access – Best Solution

    Hi all,

    I’m looking for the BEST solution to create a community that has access to a page/s on my website that they must be logged in to access, but I don’t want them to access my site, i.e. I want to remove the admin toolbar for all users except admins.

    – There will be two profile types – business and consumers
    – logged in Business can create a listing using the plugin Business Directory
    – logged in consumers can view and access the directory
    – not logged in or not registered uses will be prompted to login or register when they try to access the restricted page/s
    – ideally I’d like to show a “login” link in the header of my site too

    Is there a way without using multiple plugins and editing code?

    “Best” is subjective and gets spammy as all else real quick.

    Have you looked at any of these?

    thanks Jan – at the time i was using 3 x different plugins to
    1. customise WP login page
    2. hide admin toolbar
    3. customise user access
    and still couldn’t configure which pages I wanted public and which pages I wanted member only….

    I guess to rephrase “best” I meant, least plugins and simplest member config, and management

    since posting the question I have tried a couple of the plugins on the results page you posted… so far Ultimate Member is looking most promising…
