    Hi,

You can use the following facebook plugin that allows users to register account using facebook.

    Thanks

Thank you for your suggestion Clarion. I believe the plugin you have suggested is the same that I already mentioned (in my original post) that I am trying to use.

If you go back and take another look at the post, I believe you will see that my question was not so much an inquiry for plugin suggestions as it was for how to setup/use the plugin. (Please let me know if that was not clear or if additional information is needed.) Like I said, I went through the process of getting the App ID from Facebook and proceeded to go through the App ID settings to make it for a web platform. Facebook gave me some code that I have no clue what to do with.

Keep in mind, I’m new to all this, so it’s still all foreign to me.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Have you followed the following steps given in the plugin installation section and obtained the APP ID and set it in the plugin settings?

    Create a facebook app => https://developers.facebook.com/apps/

Don’t choose from the listed options, but click on “advanced setup” in the bottom.

Choose an app name, and a category, then click on Create App ID.

    Pass the security check.

Go to the Settings of the application.

Click on + Add Platform, and choose Website.

Give your website’s address at the Site URL field with: http://yoursiteurl.com

Give a Contact Email and click on Save Changes.

Go to Status & Review, and change the availability for the general public to YES.

Go back to the Settings, and copy the App ID, and APP Secret.

Paste them into your website’s Settings -> Nextend Settings.

    Save changes!

    Thanks

Hello Clarion, Thanks for coming back.
I have created the App ID and completed the associated instructions. I think what this boils down to at this time is that I haven’t figured out how to add the login/register fields to my site. I was under the impression that the Nextend would do that for me, but perhaps I am mistaken. Is it in fact the case that Nextend merely modifies a separate plugin that creates the login pieces that I am missing, is that how this works?
