Member Status Not Working

Hi, I have Ultimate Member running on two identical websites. We get users to register via gravity forms user registration plugin which sets their account status to awaiting_admin_review via a custom field.

This works on one site. Users can’t login until approved.

On the other site running the latest version of Ultimate Member, even though the status is set correctly as awaiting_admin_review and showing as pending review in the users page, the users still seem to be able to login without approval.

The only difference between the two sites is one is running an slightly older version of ultimate member and this one is running the latest one.
