I wanted to set up a membership which has no expiry and the first three payments will be at a discounted price.

For the same, I set up a normal membership at the undiscounted price without expiry and no billing cycle limit. And after that created another membership, under the section ‘levels this discount will apply to’ section in the ‘discount code’ section at a discounted price without expiration and billing cycle limit.

Now, what should I do that after 3 months, the discounted membership switches to the original undiscounted price and continues without expiration or limit?

Another – Is there a way where I can allow a vis
itor to read 2/3 blogs and after that a membership be required?

    Hi @vasudevb

Thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

You would need to setup a custom trial where you set X payments to Y value. For example, this could be first 3 recurring payments at $10 instead of $20. After the 3rd payment it should charge the member the normal rate of $20 moving forward. No expiration date or billing limits should be set (unless you really need to only collect X amount of payments per membership).

Please also note that not all gateways support these trials and an alternative discount method should be used such as a subscription delay or a one-time use level.

This webinar may clear things up about how to use trials in Paid Memberships Pro – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/step-by-step-guides/videos/webinars/membership-trial-periods-all-you-need-to-know-recorded-jan-24-2020/

Regarding your last query, the Limit Post View Add On is the solution you are looking for. You may test this out for free by visiting https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/free

This gave me the answer as well as an idea to think on, i.e. of offering one month free trial. Thank you so much.
