Memcached SASL Auth

Obviously not possible because W3TC is still based an memcache that does not support sasl auth yet.

Q: Will w3tc support memcached with sasl soon?

If not – there are plugins like

Why not put that on the roadmap? It’s required for hosting in the cloud. Really important feature. BTW: I don’t see the “Suggest a new feature” option.

WIth the lack of support for what we need, I’ve just finished migrating the w3tc plugin to memcached with SASL authentication support.

Currently testing. First impression looks really stable and fast…
