Same here, after update to 2.5.0: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 266240 bytes) in /data/web/virtuals/314931/virtual/www/wp-content/plugins/content-control/classes/Services/Globals.php on line 169
Roll back to 2.3.0 solved issue for now
@bearstar @pesiiin @gnata – Can you elaborate on your usage of the plugin. Are you using global restrictions, block controls, shortcodes?
Do you have a lot of usage, or just one global restriction for example.
Good timing, Daniel. I thought that perhaps 2.6 had solved the issue, but it’s apparently still happening:
[14-Mar-2025 16:24:35 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 266240 bytes) in /home2/empowfe0/public_html/wp-content/plugins/content-control/classes/Services/Globals.php on line 169
Rolling back to 2.3 fixes the critical error messages and whites screen for non-logged in visitors (and the site became super slow)
To your question, we have 4 rules, each pretty generic with nothing changed from defaults: Restriction > Redirect > Login and back > One page selected
@bearstar – Pushing an update shortly that should reduce heavily the memory usage in these particular functions. No idea if it resolves yours specifically but was a safe & performant change just he same.
@bearstar thanks, got that on my radar now.
Tried to update today to last version and error is back 🙁
