• I have an interesting one…

I have several writers for one blog and in the menu we have a galleries menu item that is part of a custom menu. For some reason when any one is logged out and only on the home page or the contact page, the menu shows an old menu. If you are logged in then you see the current menu. If you click the menu item for the blog page, then logged in or out, you see the correct menu.

It only happens on the home and contact pages.
    Our website is http://www.nephotographyguild.com
I have deleted the old menu.
I have turned off all plugins
I have no cache running either way
I’m using the current version of WP
The theme is current (Photocrati Theme 4.9.3)
I re-installed wordpress using the reinstall from the update page.

I’m afraid it’s a database issue and in which case I’m out of luck since I can get in there and look around, I know just enough to be dangerous

Also I have looked at it with Chrome (current version) and IE 10 with the same results. logged out viewers get an old menu on only those two pages but logged in viewers get the correct menus on all pages…

  • Hi folgerj,

It seems you’re using this commercial Photocrati Theme.

If that so, if you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

You probably can find the link to ask questions in your Member Area:
    http://members.photocrati.com/

Or if you’re not sure, try to contact them via this link:
    http://www.photocrati.com/contact/

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

Hope you can resolve your problem here.

thanks… I figured it out as it was the W3C cache plugin. I had uninstalled it and it didn’t clean up well and left a file behind. It then over rode the menu even when I made changes. So I can’t blame Photocrati for this one…

    Ah, I see.

Well, thanks for the confirmation and getting back to post your solution 🙂
