    Hello,

After updating your plugin twice recently, a bug appeared on my website: my menu’s are not appearing completely. It is fixed when I deactivate your plugin, so I am sure your plugin causes the problem. How can I fix it?

    Looking forward to your reply!

    KR,
    Alexandra

Thank you for your reply. I must admit that I really do not understand what that topic is about… Is it about an error? I did not get any error messages, I have not added/changed anything, but my site is just not functioning how it should since your latest update.

    Looking forward to your reply.

If number of menu items becomes big enough, you will need to increase max_input_vars in php.ini, which is by default set to 1000.

How many menu entries you have?

It may be other issue than a “number of menu items” problem, which manifests itself on admin side, not front end.

    It more looks like this:

A menu does not show items that do not have translation to the current language. Do your missing items have translations in the current language? Re-save them to ensure that all translations are entered.

    Was that your case?

Hmm, well, I checked your last comment, I have some parts that are translated, other items are in the same language. But I also didn’t change this, so I think that’s not the problem.

    My menu contains 25 items.

Earlier versions of qtx have shown the default language in some cases, when translation was not available. The latest version is now more consistent with this regard and never shows an empty item. Item appears to be empty if there is no translation. This was requested by users, since people wanted to hide menu items which would point to an untranslated page, for example. This behaviour provides such opportunity. Translation may coincide with another language, but must not be empty. Please, double check – I cannot think of any other reason.

I’ll mark it resolved for now to save future clicks. If you are sure that all translations are entered and you still have a problem, then please report a bug at https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/contact-us/.

thanks to the support of @ilumuoti (thank you!)

Open one by one all of your categories and re-save them (update)

The problem of too many menu items has nothing to do with this.
