Menu is hidden
-
Hello!
I’m building a static homepage with page builder. It’s is very nice, but I have a problem: the first row has a slider and a grid of images. Over it, the header has a menu with a submenu. But when I click on the submenu I’m able to see only two lines. The third one is hidden below the slider. How can I solve it?
best regards

Hi Arutha
If possible, please, could you try to edit your question and update the URL. Once we’ve taken a look we’ll assist from there.
Hi Andrew!
the page is in a local staging site. I will try to make a copy in the live site and get back to you. Sorry!
No problem, thanks 🙂
Hi Andrew!
I have to confess, ashamedly, that I wasn’t able to make a copy. Basically because the new page will have a completely different header and I can’t change it in the live site without all the other things that are not ready yet. I don’t know what to do. Maybe wait till everything is ready and then came back to you?
One idea I had is that I’m using the local by flywheel for the local site and it offers me the possibility to enable a live link. I’m not sure even if it works!
sorry for the botherHi Arutha
Sure, no problem. Let us know when a copy of the site is live and we’ll assist from there 🙂
Hi!
Working on it.
But I discovered that the slider doesn’t hide the menu if show pagination or show title is ticked. When the title or pagination is shown, the space between the slider and the menu gets bigger (I would prefer, instead, that it was smaller or non-existent).
My, I feel that I have to go back to studying everything…Hi, thanks for the update. The problem you’ve described can usually be fixed by adjusting the z-index of the sub-menu or the menu container if that has a low z-index set. Once we’ve taken a look we’ll be able to assist further.
Hi Andrew!
I finally did a test page so you can look at it:
https://cemap-interludium.org.br/testa-abre-novo/by the way, it started again to ask for saving all the time (“Changes that you made may not be saved”) and add multiple revisions, something I thought was a problem only with old pages, and was solved some 8 months ago.
and the firefox console shows this error:
downloadable font: OS/2: Bad sTypoLineGap, setting it to 0: -32 (font-family: “so-slider-pointers” style:normal weight:400 stretch:100 src index:1) source: https://cemap-interludium.org.br/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/css/slider/fonts/slider.woff?8p86w5I know it says bundle, but as it is the same page…
The two old pages in my other topic (problem with menus) have the same error and the same behaviour of asking for saving ad infinitum
best regards!
Thanks, you can use:
.site-header { z-index: 101; }Is the WordPress core up to date?
The css worked very well!
About the other things, yes wordpress core is up to date. At least it says it is (lol). And I’m in php 7.4. And my host finally updated his servers to php 7.4 too.
Can it be a problem of a very old site with leftovers? I’m somewhat illiterate about coding and wordpress, so I’m not sure this question makes any sense…Glad to hear the menu issue is resolved.
I’ll have Alex check in with you here regarding the saving warning issue when he’s back online. He’s best positioned to assist with this one.
Thanks 🙂
Ok!
It is not urgent, the problem doesn’t affect the frontend.
about the error : downloadable font: OS/2: Bad sTypoLineGap,
should I open a topic on the siteorigen widgets bundle or is it better to concentrate here, at least till we know if it is related?
Here is fine, thanks for asking 🙂
Ok!
thank you very much!
Hi Arutha,
by the way, it started again to ask for saving all the time (“Changes that you made may not be saved”) and add multiple revisions, something I thought was a problem only with old pages, and was solved some 8 months ago.
Are you using WordPress 5.6? WordPress 5.6 suffers from a bug that will result in this notice appearing when attempting to navigate away from the editor. If you’re using 5.6, please update to 5.7 as this issue is resolved in that update.
Kind regards,
Alex
