Menu Item Vertical Padding (px) – CSS?

Hi.

Under Customize > Theme Design > Menu, there is this field:

Menu Item Vertical Padding (px)

I want to change this value, but instead of changing it in this way, I want to change it in style.css of the child theme. How do I do that? I have tried different CSS codes but I can not solve it myself.
