    Hello,

I am using Nav Menu Roles, with Basel Theme. When i updated to WordPress 5.4 i saw that in admin panel, i can’t see the menu items if i edit a menu. It says to drag&drop to menu like it’s empty.

In the frontend seems to work. Any ideas? When i disable the plugin the menu items are shown.

    Thank you in advance.

Would you try switching to a default theme? I can’t think of any reason NMR would interfere with this as menu items are only hidden on the front-end.

Unless you mean the user role settings are missing from the menus. In which case, please contact your theme and ask them to make their admin menu Walker compatible with WordPress 5.4. Ideally, no one should have to override the menu Walker any longer as the hook we’ve been using to each add our custom fields is now a part of WordPress core.

    Hello @helgatheviking,

The previous setting for hiding menu items from frontend is working just right.
My issue is that all the menu items are not visible in the admin menu, it’s like an empty menu.

I switched to default theme and is working. So it’s theme’s bug.

Thank you for you support and fast response.
