Hello, I’ve installed your menu plugin and followed the setup instructions. However, the menu doesn’t appear on the homepage or any of the internal pages. I’m using a custom theme, maybe it’s a conflict? Can you please guide me on how to make sure the menu is rendered in the header? I’d also like to change the color of the active menu item.

  • Hi @sequith ,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m glad to hear you’ve installed the Responsive Menu plugin and started building your menu!

Sorry to hear the menu isn’t appearing as expected — I’d be happy to help you get that sorted.

To ensure the menu is rendered correctly in your theme’s header:

    1. Go to Responsive Menu > Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Under the Menus section, open the Advanced tab.
    3. Enable the option “Use wp_footer hook”.
This is useful if your theme does not support the wp_body_open hook.

As for your question about changing the active menu item color:

    1. Go to the Active Menu section inside the plugin.
    2. Click on Menu Styling.
    3. From there, you can customize the color as needed.
