Hi i have had profile builder installed on this site for a customer, and it has been great at allowing me to restrict access to pages and redirect and enable roles based access. we have also been able to set the menu items visibility dependent on if they are logged in or not and who or what role they have.
however, since the recent update to profile builder, v2.7.0 the ability to restrict menu visibility has disappeared. for instance when a user visits the page initially they should see home, our vacancies, contact and login only, then when they login they will see home, our vacancies, contact, profile page, logout and picker table but they are able to see all the menus now whether they are logged in or not. can you let me know if this is a glitch or how i can attempt to repair this please, cheers Kevin

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @kevinathena,

Are you using Profile Builder free ? If so, what did you use to configure the visibility of the menu items ?

    Regards.

    Hello @kevinathena,

That option was never there in the free version. We have something like this available using the Custom Profile Menus add-on, but you need a licence in order to get access to it.

So I’m guessing you used something else.

Hi Thanks for the reply, your correct i was using a different plugin, my apologies.
can i do this with the licenced version as well? also i need to add some extra fields to the profiles of users that i create in WP, can profile builder allow me to do this as well? e.g. add custom fields for the person to fill in when they register that i can then use later in other code?

    cheers Kevin

    Hello @kevinathena,

Yes, Profile Builder can do that. There are other features available as well, check them out on our website.

If you have other questions about the paid versions, please open a support ticket as these forums are for the free version only.

    Regards.
