Testing required on mobile devices for sub menus (menus within menus).

The down arrow to the right of the text of a menu item, is too small to click easily, instead you should allow the whole menu item to be clicked to activate the drop down items.

Also, you should ensure only one sub menu is displayed at once when clicking on the down arrow on the menu item.

I would personally implement sub menus like this:

Also, if you click on a menu item that contains another menu (sub menu) which is close to the edge of the screen, it will display partially of the edge of the screen.

http://code.iamkate.com/javascript/touch-friendly-drop-down-menus/ also seems to solve this issue.

Unfortunately, these issues are a roadblock for me. Especially the first usability issue (my first post here).

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback! We’ll investigate this and see if there’s any improvements that can be done.

I’m having the same issue with the hamburger menu not opening on mobiles. It works fine on tablets and desktop PC’s. Does anyone have a fix for this yet please? I really love this theme, would hate to have to change it now.
    Kind regards!

    Hi,

Let me know if you are still experiencing this. This shouldn’t be an issue. The mobile menu should work well. It could be a compatibility issue with one of the plugins you are using or a configuration issue.

    Hi Rodicaelena,

    Thank you for your reply.
I did disable all my plugin’s and also any custom CSS I had added but the problem persisted. I had no choice but to go with another theme at least for the time being to keep my website running, which was a shame as I really like ‘Neve’. I can’t think what else could be causing it to happen. I can only confirm the issue presented itself on an iphone 4 (both mine and my partner’s), I did not have any other types of mobile devices to check it. It was working fine on my Amazon Fire Tablet and on an Apple Ipad.

    Kind regards,

    Ken

    Hi Ken,

As I don’t have an iPhone 4 and all the real simulators I have access to online are from iPhone 5 and up, I’m not able to properly test this. I’ve found a simulator online for iPhone 4, and couldn’t spot any issues, but I’m not completely sure it’s working properly.
We are constantly doing tests for iPhone 5 and up, as those are the most used devices at the moment, so there shouldn’t be any problems there.
I’m sorry you had to switch themes, but I totally understand.

    Regards,
    Rodica
