• Hello everyone!

I just imported 30 .csv files for a total of 18,000 posts…and I sorted them wrong when I created the .csvs…now I have about 4K posts that are duplicates.

Is there ANY possible way of deleting the duplicates but maintaining the remaning post so it shows up if someone is browsing a category?

For example – I have a post titled “ABC Testing Procedures” – that post appears 5 times, in 5 different categories.

I’d like for it to appear only 1 time – but be listed in all 5 categories.

I’d like for someone to search on that title and get only 1 search result – not 5 results showing the same thing.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks!
    Rob

  • It all can be done, but there isn’t really an automated way of doing it. It sounds like a re-import from scratch would be a better idea. Afterwards, you can add as many categories to a post as you’d like, even in bulk by checking each post you want to edit on the left side of the list on the Posts admin page, and choosing one of the bulk options at the top of the list.
