meta data paid users
-
Hi, I’m almost done building the base of my directory, but I need some custom features that seems to be only possible with custom code.
What I want to achieve:
1 Making the bookmark feature only available to users with a paid subscription
2. Make some filters only available to users with a paid subscription
If it’s possible to provide the codes for those 2 instances, that would be very helpful. If it’s not possible to give it without payment, then maybe you could give me 2 meta data so I can try myself with the help of a friend who has more experience and code knowlegde as I don’t have the financial means anymore to pay for this or for someone to do it for me.
In that 2nd case, I need to have the meta data Directorist uses for the users and the plans that normally would be something like ‘_atbdp_user_plans’ and/or ‘_atbdp_active_plan’ according to the friend to use in the custom code.
Thank you for the help! The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @jessiespitfire,
That’s a great idea, and I can see why you’d want to make certain features only available to paid users. Technically it can be done, but it requires some custom coding where you’d check if the logged-in user has an active plan and then show/hide things like bookmarks or filters based on that.
The tricky part is that the actual meta keys and functions can vary depending on how your plans are set up with the Pricing Plans extension. Because of that, the safest way to get the exact keys and the right code for your setup is to reach out directly to the Directorist Technical Support team. We’ll be able to confirm which metadata to use and guide you through the implementation.
