It’s there. You have to click on the text (default is most likely “%%excerpt%%”) and it will open up a text input field.
Definitely easy to miss that one.

I have been trying to figure out how to roll back to an earlier version because of this problem, so I’m glad to know it’s still there, but I still can’t find it. Can you please post instructions on how to access the meta description field in plain english? 🙂
