Meta description length issue

    For some meta descriptions, Yoast keeps stating the wrong number of characters. I use the online word counter which confirms what I see, but the plugin keeps stating “The meta description is over 156 characters.” even though it is clear the text is i.e. 144 characters or whatever else, but below 155. The characters in use are plain, no special ones.

    Hello @wp800s,

    Thanks for using Yoast SEO. An online word counter will count characters. Our plugin checks the pixels. You will get GREEN in the plugin if your SEO title width is between 1 px and 600 px. Also, Google measures title display length in pixels.
