Hi there,
right now I have activated the “Use Meta Keywords” option, although I know Google doesn’t use this anymore. BUT I was wondering if I have any disadvantages, if this is enabled? Or will this just be ignored?

Hey @maxidavis,

That’s correct. Google no longer takes meta keywords into account, but that doesn’t mean they will punish you for using them; They should simply ignore them.

The main reason why we still offer this functionality is because some smaller search engines like Yandex still consider them – https://yandex.com/support/webmaster/controlling-robot/html.html
