Meta Robot tag

Hi,
I’m creating a page on a blog and I don’t want it indexed/spiered by search engines because it will contain a great deal of external links
Will adding <META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW”>
when added in the html editor and most important will it only effect a single page and not have a knock on effect to the rest of the blog.
